In May 2006 we had a wonderful weekend of fellowship with the church in Modena, Italy.

Friday 12th
We arrived to a big picnic lunch in a park in Parma, before a short tour of the city.
We then headed to the church in Modena, for an evening meal and to meet up with our host families.

Saturday 13th
We had an early start for the coach ride through the Apennines to La Spezia, on the Mediterranean coast.
We took a boat trip stopping at three villages along the coast. A few took the energetic option and walked!
Once again a large evening meal was enjoyed at the church.

Sunday 14th
We joined the Modena church for their morning service, which was a great time of worship and included two baptisms.
We had lunch with the church at a renovated country house that is being used for Christian house parties and youth camps. Some stayed and played sports after lunch while others took a trip to a large country park to walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The afternoon was drawn to a close with some singing and a time of sharing how God has worked in our lives.
For those who weren’t too tired there was a pizza supper back at church.

Monday 15th
After breakfast at a café bar in Modena, we had a tour of the historic town centre and chance for shopping at the local market and Christian book shop.
A final big Italian meal rounded off the trip.
